Best dip in Queso Blanco

We love to dive into our family and always have at least one or two at every party. The Hamburger Queso is one of our favorites: it's easy, tacky and slow cooked. Our favorite dipping recipe is Queso Blanco – a white cheese dip that is an excellent appetizer!

To be honest, we think Queso Blanco is one of the most addictive dip recipes you'll ever have tried! The best part of this recipe is that it takes about 3 to 5 minutes – ideal when you need easy preparation for a party.

We love serving this dip at meetings with hot tortilla chips. It is also a good Mexican meal and would be delicious on tacos, burritos and chimichangas.

You will create a red for this recipe, which is a combination of fat (butter or oil) and flour that acts as a thickener.

How to make Queso Blanco

As we mentioned, this queso cheese is made in about 5 minutes. To do this, start by melting the butter in a saucepan. Stir in the flour and whisking until the mixture sparkles (this creates a roux that acts as a thickening agent once the milk is added).

Add the whole milk and stir until everything is well mixed. Add the garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder. Finish by adding the cheese and mixing until you obtain a smooth consistency.

Garnish with tomatoes and coriander just before serving.

What to serve with the queso blanco?

We like to use this recipe in many ways, but especially as a dip for serving with potato chips and vegetables. We also like to use it with some of our favorite Mexican dishes, among which:

How to store Queso Blanco?

The remains of this bath can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days maximum. Warm up using the microwave oven and add if necessary milk if the dip is thickened.
