Unexpected star 'Mean Girls' publishes a rosé
Another day, another pink celebrity, this time with the permission of actor Jonathan Bennett, the charismatic idol of the 2004 film, "Mean Girls".
Bennett recently released two Mean Girls-inspired wines, "Wednesday Rosé, A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Zinfandel, and" I'm a red … duh ", a blend of Syrah and Zinfandel , reports delish. The wines were launched on April 1, 2019 on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the 2004 film and are now on sale at online wine retailer Nocking Point.
Both blends were produced by winegrower Scot Bilbro.
The names cleverly inspire film quotes from "Mean Girls": "On Wednesdays, we wear pink" and "I'm a mouse, duh." (You had to be there.)
Rose Wine is not Bennett's first incursion into the culinary world. He also hosted the Food Wars series "Halloween Wars" and "Cake Wars" and published a cookbook inspired by "Mean Girls", "The Burn Cookbook", with starred chef Nikki Martin in 2018
As for wines, "I do not even care about their taste. I need both bottles as soon as possible, "writes Maya McDowell in Delish.
We do not necessarily disagree, but for $ 52 per pair of bottles (you can order the wine in batches of two, three, six or 12), we would like to get a sample beforehand.
